OOTD: Out to dinner for Hibachi

Went out to dinner with my boyfriend and some friends tonight to one of my favorite type of restaurants, a Japanese steak house. Yum!! They always give you SO much food, but I never seem to have trouble finding a place to put it... I have loved these places ever since I was a little kid. I wish I could recreate what they do in my kitchen, but that will probably never happen. I have however learned to make the dressing they use for their salads, which is also delicious.

Here's a real life shot of what I wore as well as a polyvore of it.

J.Crew sweater, shirt, belt and tights, Anthro Skirt and Steve Madden Boots

I also just got a few things in the mail today from some recent orders.

First up is a dress from madewell that I fell in love with after seeing it here on Emily's blog. It desperately needs hemming, but I think it will be a nice dress for summer time and I can't wait until it gets warm so I can actually wear it! It is elegant, yet has a flowy care free feel to it which I love. Should be very versatile. There is also a shorter version of this dress that I love as well.

And accessorized with a belt, although it is not nearly as fabulous as the belt Emily wore with this dress.

I also recently acquired the Kirklees Sweater-Coat. I really like this pattern and the colors. Will be very cute to wear with skinny jeans and over dresses/skirts.

Have a great day!

No Control..

So I tried, but for the life of me I just can't stop shopping for J.crew items! I've also been looking at Anthropologie and Madewell lately, but still, too obsessed with J.crew. Anyways, with today's new rollouts, I of course couldn't help but get a couple things, and not to mention I had just gotten a nice rewards card in the mail so that always helps... here's what I got:

Renatta Paisley Bikini

I was VERY excited about this one. I fell in LOVE with this print, and was so upset during the last slew of final sale stuff that it never popped up in my size. This will probably be my favorite suit of the year!

Love the bright color of this sweater, hthr honeycomb. Excited for this one too

Many of the bloggers have been loving this one, and I must say I do too. I am nowhere near striped out, and I can see these becoming classic go-to pieces in my wardrobe. Got it in both the neon pink and the spiced olive colors since I couldn't decide :-)

I really am loving skirts right now, and I thought this would be a nice casual addition to my wardrobe.

Thought this was another cute skirt. Ended up ordering in both the mauve and the toffee color, not sure yet which one I will end up keeping.

Nice summery looking sweater. Can never have enough cardigans!

Thought this one looked nice and breezy, and I am always a sucker for a bit of lace...

Cute summery bag that didn't seem overly expensive. Will probably get a lot of use in the summer!

I love the bright blue color and still loving the stripes. Just had to give this one a try!

Lots of new stuff that I cannot wait to get! Hopefully it doesn't take too long for them to get here. Now time to stop spending so much money! J.Crew, please stop coming out with new stuff so I stop being so tempted!

Have a great day!

J.Crew Finds

Stopped at my local J.Crew B&M store today on my way home from class. Found a couple of things to try on. I really went to find the Lace shell posted on ShoppingwithM. Well I was able to find that and then some. I'm sure I could have gone a little crazier, but I just spent way too much last week online with the 40% off sale going on, and not even all of it was FS items. Hence my obsession. So here's what I ended up finding:

Lace Shell (item #36952) - $48 - size S - This was the object of my obsession that I headed here for today. It's not showing up online even when I punch in the item number, maybe it will come out with their new stuff at some point. I LOVED this shell. The lace is awesome, and the contrast of the off-white lace with the green/gray bottom was great. For me this was definitely a keeper.

Denim Tank Dress (item #34681) - $98 - size 6 -  I thought this was pretty cute, and I don't have anything like this. I really like wearing dresses/skirts in the summer so I'm always looking for new ones to add to my collection. ShoppingwithM featured this on a previous post as well. Unlike her I did not seem to get the bubble but effect, at least not nearly as much. I was fine with how it looked from the side. I thought it fit pretty well and was comfy. Please don't mind the socks :-)

Tuxedo end-on-end dress (item #33410) - $78 - size XS - I saw this dress on a manequin and thought it looked pretty cute. On me I wasn't in love with it. I originally tried the S, and I don't know if it was a combo of being a little busty and not having a very tiny waste or what, but to me there just seemed to be too much going on up top. I tried the XS, which did not make the top appear any smaller. I liked it, but I had to pass on this one. This is an XS in the picture

Thats it for today. Hopefully I will start getting my recent orders soon and will start posting about those. Have a great day!
