Christmas is rapidly approaching, are you done with all of your shopping yet? I only have a few more things to grab, but other that that, I'm done. Its such a great feeling to be finished with Christmas shopping. I'm all for giving presents, but I am horrible at coming up with things to get everyone usually. Fortunately this year for the most part it seemed a little easier than usual, so that helped! I've been doing my wrapping as I go, so my tree has some festive looking presents under it! My kitty, Jezzibelle, is probably not too happy about it, as it blocks her ability to lay under it, which is her favorite spot this time of year lol. She also has seemed to have taken a liking to playing with the bows on the presents.
Yesterday my friends and I got together to bake some cookies for the holidays. We made my grandmas butter crisp cookie recipe (my favorite cookies ever) and meringue cookies that were a family recipe of one of my friends. It was a lot of fun, and we realized why we could never be cookie decorators or anything like that for a living lol. By the end, none of us wanted to decorate any more cookies, which is one thing I like about my grandmas simplistic decorating she usually does - just the sprinkles. Do you have a family cookie recipe thats been passed down through generations. I can always remember growing up, we would go to my grandmas on Christmas Eve and I would get some of her cookies to leave out for Santa :-) Oh to be back in those days..
