Little miss crazy

Alright, so I'm going to share my OOTD today before I explain my title. I got my silk Casbah blouse yesterday, so I couldn't resist but take it out for a spin already. As I mentioned yesterday, I seem to have a particular color theme going this week. Not quite sure how it happened, but I guess everything that I thought of to wear this week so far involved the teal color. Today's outfit continued along on that pattern. I love this blouse. The pattern is absolutely lovely, and I love the way it feels on. Its so soft and silky. I wish all my cloths were this soft. It also has a nice loose fit, which was perfect for the hot day today even though  I was inside all day again. I paired it with the pencil skirt in wool crepe and a pair of wedge heels from target. I switched to a pair of Tory Burch Revas for the afternoon, but for the morning I wore the wedge shoes from target that I love. Because of the wedge heel I think they are a little more comfortable for a long day than regular heels. Heres the IRL picture and the polyvore.

OOTD 8/4/11

So if you notice, my cat in the corner, she is the little miss crazy that I am referring to. She was acting quite rambunctious this morning, but it didn't seem particularly out of the ordinary. She really hates closed doors, and was begging to get into my closet. This is a door I typically leave open, but while I was taking my pictures I closed it. So after I was done before I left I opened it back up and went to work like any other day. I got home, and at some point looked into my closet, and this is what I found:

Now that basket is typically sitting up on a shelf above my clothes, and is filled with a bunch of little J.Crew jewelry boxes. Apparently she felt the need to jump into the basket or something and knocked it off the shelf, sending everything in it to the floor. The basket ended up on the complete opposite side of my closet. I was shocked that she did this. While she can be quite mischievous at times, shes usually not this destructive. I'm just glad that shes okay.

So on a positive note, this forced me to clean out the floor in my closet a little bit. Here's the end result. I love my closet btw :-)

This also brings me to another point. Does anyone else feel the need to keep all the little jewelry boxes that J.Crew's stuff usually comes in? I'm not sure why, but I do. I have every single one, which has built up to be quite a few. Why do I need these? I have no idea. I have a nice big jewelry cabinet (in the back of my closet), so everything is put away in there and all these little boxes are empty. Do I really need these or is this just the beginning stages of hoarding? I decided to at least take them out of the basket for now, but I am not quite sure I can get myself to throw them away yet. What do you think? What do you do with yours?

Alright, thats all for today. Have a great evening!

XOXO Jennifer

  1. I return the little boxes to the store. There are a few that I keep for bigger, heavier pieces. I think I have about 6, but that's it. Your closet is spectacular! And you look fantastic in the Casbah blouse.

  2. Your closet looks amazing and I'm laughing at your crazy cat. Mine goes after all my shoes and knocks them all off the shelves, so she's not allowed in any more. Love the Casbah blouse as well and was happy to pick it up on sale finally. Looks so pretty on you! I do always want to keep the boxes, but I have enough cluter in my house that I need to get rid of them. Gigi, never thought of returning them to the store, will have to do that.

  3. gigi - Thats a great idea! I never thought of that but I will definitely have to do that. I'm not sure if they are still always using the little boxes, a few weekends ago the necklace I got came in a little bag, but I'm sure they would use them if they had them, hopefully they will take them!

M - my cat is a psycho, lol. She also is seeming to have some separation anxiety issues. I used to be home more but now this year in school its basically like working a real job, so I'm not home as much. When I leave the house every morning she attacks my legs. Wouldnt be a huge deal if I didn't have nylons on that I didnt want her to run! She also enjoys attacking my clothes from below as I move things around in my closet. Normally shes not a problem, but after yesterday, I think the door will be getting closed when I leave daily :-) And thanks about the casbah, I love it!
